Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the 4LAZIE platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use the Service.

2. User Accounts & Account Security

When you create an account you must give accurate, complete and current information, including the college or university you actually attend. Giving false information breaches these Terms and may lead to termination. New accounts must be verified by email. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account; tell us at once if you think someone else used it.

3. Cookies

4LAZIE uses the cookies needed to keep you signed in, keep forms secure and remember your choices. Visit counting is used only if you allow it. You choose when you first visit and can change it at any time with Cookie settings. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.

4. Content Ownership and Licensing

You keep ownership of the materials you submit. By posting content you give 4LAZIE a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and distribute it across the platform for educational and operational purposes. Notes that cover a subject shared by more than one course may be shown to students of each of those courses. You must own what you upload or have permission to share it.

5. Prohibited Uses & User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to upload malicious code, to share material you have no right to share, to harass other users, or to try to break or bypass the platform's security or limits. When you set up a profile or talk to others you must not use offensive or abusive language. We may monitor behaviour and end accounts that break these rules.

6. Instructors

Instructors join by signing in with Google and applying for one or more colleges. The 4LAZIE team checks each application and may approve, decline or later remove access at any college. Until you are approved you can use none of the instructor tools. By using them you agree that:

• the display name and phone number you give are yours and true; the phone number is used only to confirm who you are;
• you will publish only materials you have the right to share, and you will not publish a current exam paper before its exam date;
• a file in My Uploads is private to you, but once you make it public you cannot make it private again or delete it yourself after a short period; after that you send a request (make private, delete, or correct the details) and an administrator decides;
• announcements and assignments must be about teaching and your students, and must be respectful;
• administrators may remove any content, and may end your access, at any time.

7. Class Representatives

A class representative is chosen by the platform's administrators and speaks for one class. A representative may send announcements and assignments to their own class only, and may send notes, which stay hidden from students until an administrator approves them. The role ends automatically when the class moves up a year or graduates, and administrators may remove it sooner. Posts show the representative's name, are limited per day, and are recorded in an activity log. Misuse leads to removal of the role and may lead to suspension.

8. Community Forum, Student Profiles & Direct Messaging

Registered users can see each other's public profiles, send direct messages, "Connect" with others and take part in forums and comments. Everything you post or send must be respectful and free of harassment, hate speech, threats and illegal content. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

9. Platform Stability, Caching & Statistics

We try to keep 4LAZIE available all the time. We use offline caching (PWA) for faster loading, and, only if you allow visit counting, we collect usage statistics to monitor performance and understand how the site is used. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Exam Generator Hub & Academic Integrity

4LAZIE gives administrators tools to generate exam templates. Users must not use generated exams for unauthorised distribution, cheating or any academic misconduct. We are not liable for how institutions or users use these tools.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, 4LAZIE and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Termination

We may suspend or end your account at any time, with or without notice, if you break these Terms or put the platform or other users at risk. You may stop using 4LAZIE at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. Using the Service after a change means you accept it.
